When you email us, please include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, App version (shown in the App's Settings) and the country or server you tried. Please don't send passwords or other sensitive information.
Frequently asked questions
Is VPN Lite really free?
Yes. There is no paid plan and no account. The App is paid for by ads, which are never personalized and only show while the VPN is off.
Why is the speed sometimes fast and sometimes slow?
Each server has its own connection, and its speed changes during the day. Choose “Fastest for You”, or try another country.
Does VPN Lite keep my browsing history?
No. VietTS does not record the sites you visit. The VPN servers belong to the public VPN Gate network, are run by volunteers, and keep their own connection logs. See our Privacy Policy.
Why does iOS ask me to add a VPN configuration?
Every VPN app needs your permission once. Tap Allow, then confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. VPN Lite cannot see your passcode.
Can I turn the VPN on without opening the App?
Yes. Add the VPN Lite button to Control Center or add a VPN Lite widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen. The App's Settings has a step-by-step guide.
How does auto-protect on Wi-Fi work?
When auto-protect is on, the VPN connects by itself when you join a Wi-Fi network you haven't marked as trusted. Trusted networks are saved only on your device, and you can manage them in Settings › Trusted Wi-Fi.
A website won't open while connected
Some websites block VPN addresses. Try another country or server, or disconnect for that site.
Troubleshooting
Can't connect
- Check that your internet works with the VPN off.
- Try another country. VPN Lite tries several servers automatically, but volunteer servers can go offline.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Some networks block VPN connections.
- If it still fails, remove the VPN configuration in iOS Settings › General › VPN & Device Management, then connect again from the App.
A server doesn't work
Use “Report a Problem” in the App. The report helps us stop recommending broken servers. It includes the server's address and the reason you choose, but never your own IP address or the sites you visited.
An ad is inappropriate
Use “Report the Last Ad” in Settings › Ads, or email us with the advertiser's name. We will block it.
Privacy requests
To ask about, or delete, data related to you, email support@vietts.io. There is no account, so please tell us when you sent a report or anything else that helps us find it. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
Remove VPN Lite
Delete the App from your Home Screen. To also remove its VPN configuration, open iOS Settings › General › VPN & Device Management › VPN and delete VPN Lite.
